Everyone in the Cobb family was very strong. Silence’s father was a blacksmith and champion wrestler. The strongest of all was Silence’s brother, Samuel Jr., who was six feet two inches tall and weighed 230 pounds, all of it muscle. Other settlers found pulling stumps from their fields difficult, but Samuel and Samuel Jr. enjoyed the work.
