Once some men were testing their strength by lifting 56 pound weights strung on an iron bar. The strongest of them huffed and puffed and just managed to raise eight weights a few inches from the floor. Everyone cheered him until Samuel Jr. came into the room. With one hand he picked up the bar and weights (about 475 pounds) and carried them “as easily as a common man would carry a pail of water.” |
