A Message from our New Director Molly Veysey

Hello Old Stone House Community!  My name is Molly Veysey, the new Director at the Old Stone House Museum/Orleans County Historical Society.  How very excited I am to be a part of this new chapter of the Museum’s future!  As a native to northern Vermont and resident of Irasburg, I have an innate respect for our history and culture as well as an abiding passion for education and community service.  Steeped in history and committed to community, the Old Stone House Museum is the perfect place to put that respect and passion to work.

I remain grateful to former Director, Peggy Day Gibson who put her passions to work here for the last decade.  Her vision and great efforts are evident in every aspect of this place.  Peggy’s impacts on the Old Stone House will certainly not be forgotten.

As I acclimate to my new roles, I feel fortunate to have fallen in with such a good crowd of staff members, Board members, volunteers and supporters of the Old Stone House.   I am looking forward to seeing you all either at the Museum’s offices (open all year around) or this summer at one or more of our fantastic events.  Please come by and visit!

Sincerely,

Molly Veysey, Museum Director
