Adaptable Primary Sources Lesson Series

Adaptable Primary Sources Lesson Series

These materials were originally developed by Joan Alexander in 2011-2012 for the pilot program of Natalie Kinsey-Warnock’s Story Keeper family history project for use in elementary schools. We hope that educators anywhere will freely access and adapt these lessons for supporting inquiry-based, primary source research. Each lesson below focuses on a particular type of source or research tool. Adapted versions of the first three lessons are also found in the companion lessons for the “Mystery of History” field trip program.
