Samuel Read Hall was the area’s first educators’ teacher (1854), helping to foster a generation of the original educators in northern Vermont. Hall lived and worked on site in what is now the Old Stone House Museum’s stunning rural campus in Brownington, VT. Conveniently located in the heart of the North East Kingdom, the Museum offers essential, relevant and credit-bearing professional development through its Samuel Read Hall Education Center.
