Opportunity for independent inquiry based research on topics of historic interest. The results will be presented as Exhibits, Performances, or Documentary Media. Primary sources should be used, bibliographies included and a research plan/description written. Individual or group (2-4 students) research welcomed.
This year’s state and national theme is “Turning Points in History: People, Ideas, Events.” Students taking part in NEK History Day are not required to follow the theme; however, if a student wishes to compete in the state and national History Day they do need to follow the theme.

Held at IROC arena in Derby, NEK History Day is organized by the Old Stone House Museum. The event is open to the public in the evening, when the projects are judged, and winners are announced.
