Are you interested in being a part of Orleans County Vermont history?
The Education and Curatorial Departments accept interns to work on specific projects, under guidance of a staff member. Most positions are available between March and October for up to three months.
Interns have worked on such 19th century topics as costume design, the Kitchen Garden, demonstrating heirloom vegetable varieties and garden techniques, planning and giving architectural tours in the historic district, and reproducing tools from the Museum collection in the blacksmith shop.
We are presently looking for a Textile & Weaving intern and a Heritage Garden intern for summer 2011.
Interns should be between 16 and 26 years of age. They should enjoy learning and explaining their work to the public. Interns may present a proposal for a research topic or area of activity for consideration. Interns are unpaid, but recommendations are provided based on the quality of an intern’s contribution to the Museum.
We encourage you join us for an exciting learning experience. You can e-mail Susanna for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
