SUMMARY:Adult Enrichment: Blacksmithing
DESCRIPTION:A Taste of Blacksmithing \n8:30 AM – 12:30 PM \nEver wanted to try your hand at blacksmithing? This introductory adult enrichment class is the perfect place to start! \nIn “A Taste of Blacksmithing\,” you will learn how to start a coal forge\, heat steel to a forging temperature and the basics of hammer control. Various tools and techniques will be introduced along the way (including forge welding). The typical participant will go home with a couple hooks\, nails and forge welded chain link or two. All materials included. Proper attire required: Safety glasses (we have some available)\, long pants and closed toed shoes. \n  \nOpen Forge \n12:30 – 4:30 PM \nAlready have experience in the forge? Come spend the afternoon working on your own projects (on the same dates listed on the flyer) for just $25! \nThis is a non-instructional session\, but experienced blacksmiths will be available if you need a hand. Prior participation in “A Taste of Blacksmithing” required. \nWe hope to see you in the forge! \n  \nREGISTER HERE
