SUMMARY:Garden Tour
DESCRIPTION:Two of Brownington’s most prolific gardeners will welcome visitors to tour their gardens on Saturday\, June 24\, from noon to 3 p.m. to benefit the Old Stone House Museum. The suggested donation is $5 per adult. Heavy rain will move the event to Sunday\, June 25 at the same time. \nEileen and Phil Baker and neighbors\, Donna Hatcher and Roger Shultz\, will welcome guests\, with parking at 885 Frog Pond Road\, Brownington\, to see the Baker gardens\, with a short walk through a path in the meadow to the adjacent Hatcher/Shultz gardens. \nThe Bakers’ garden\, with sweeping vistas and a view of Willoughby Gap\, is expected to have a variety of roses blooming\, along with early summer flowers\, depending on weather conditions leading up to the day. An arch\, constructed of cedar and apple trees on the property\, frames the view of Willoughby Gap. \nThe Hatcher/Shultzes have constructed garden rooms in the shadow of their restored 1830s era home\, originally a stagecoach stop on the route from Boston to Montreal. Their stone terrace beds feature delphinium\, dahlias\, baptisia\, lupines and foxglove. \n  \nClick here to see the beautiful flyer for this event
