Everyone loves pasta! Here is an opportunity to join the staff of Salvation Farms and baker Gillian D’Acierno as we look at culinary traditions from Vermont and around the globe, exploring how people made it through the winter in an era when most food could not be shipped from afar. We’ll learn how to uphold traditions of local, seasonal eating and how modern methods have expanded our ability to eat healthy, delicious, locally produced food throughout the year. Our featured ingredient is pumpkin, we will make our own pasta dough and a variety of pasta shapes, complementing the meal with tasty pumpkin muffins. 8 to 12+ years old.
