Join the Old Stone House Museum & Historic Village to Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day

January 12, 2021

Please join the Old Stone House Museum & Historic Village in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the Northeast Kingdom on Friday, January 15th and Monday, January 18th, 2021. Please register to join us for a virtual reading here: Virtual Reading Registration Form.

To celebrate King’s educational legacy, we will host virtual readings and discussion hours for area schools, libraries and at-home learners to help teach about race and racism.  The readings will take place on the Thursday and Friday before Martin Luther King Day, January 15th.  On the day of, Monday, January 18th, we are recommending a day of service in the Northeast Kingdom to honor King’s own legacy of serving one’s community and providing directions for an at home activity.

Please CLICK HERE to find a Celebration Packet that contains information on how to participate.  Use the packet as a resource for helping to teach about the legacy of Martin Luther King in your community or neighborhood.

The packet also contains a link to a registration form for the virtual readings. If you can not access the form through the PDF, it can be found here: Virtual Reading Registration Form.

If you have any questions about how to participate please email collections@oldstonehousemuseum.org.

Finally please feel welcome to pass this email and packet on to others who may want to participate.
