Occupations and Trades Around the Village
In celebration of the 190th anniversary of the building of the Old Stone House, campers will explore both the legend and the lived reality of how the building—and the village around it—came to be. This year’s camp theme centers on the building of the Old Stone House and the trades, skills, and community relationships that made village life possible in the 1830s.

“Time Travellers’ Day Camp is the summer opportunity my kids look forward to most. It is the amount of time spent exploring and creating that sets this camp apart. There is no rush; rather an intentional setting of time for deeper immersion. The strength of community that comes through this camp experience extends beyond just the campers and counselors, too.
The camp connects families in our communities. And, that’s an achievement we should all celebrate! Thank you OSHM for putting together a summer experience based in history that I know my kids will take with them far into the future.”
